First Churches of Northampton, Peace and Justice Committee; and Arise for Social Justice pulled together an amazing panel presentation/community conversation to talk about the case of Donald Perry and the Massachusetts parole system. The conversation took place on May 28, 2014 at First Churches, Northampton.
Donald Perry – Speaks openly about his experience with the MA Parole system and the events of August 3, 2011.
Elaine Arsenault – Will talk about her experience of being the partner of a MA parolee.
Luke Ryan – Will highlight the legal irregularities of Donald’s case.
Vira Douangmany Cage – Will speak about organizing a social justice community response to the criminal justice system.
Robin DiAngelo – Will expound on the structures that uphold racism and make Donald’s case more of a norm instead of an exception.
Patty Garin – Specializes in issues regarding parole and will talk about the current state of the MA parole system.
