Bread and Roses – Hiroshima and Nagasaki Remembrance, Black August, and more

This show features clips from the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Remembrance. This event was recorded on August 6, 2016 at Smith College and featured Susan Lantz, Pat Hynes, Doug Renick, Andy Larkin, and Jeff Napolitano of the Nuclear- and Carbon-Free Future Coalition. Readings ranged from the poetry of the Hibakusha, the myth over the necessity of the dropping of the bomb, to modernization of the nuclear triad (and related cost.) The show concludes with a segment from Prison Radio of Mumia explaining some of the significance of Black August.
