Reese Erlich: Inside Syria

Reese Erlich will present a talk about his new book “Inside Syria: The Backstory of their Civil War and What the World Can Expect.” Based on numerous reporting trips to the region, Erlich will discuss the growth of Syrian extremist rebel groups, the status of the Assad regime, foreign intervention and the failure of U.S. policy. He will provide up to date analysis and what the new U.S. president faces in one of the world’s major crises.

Reese Erlich’s history in journalism goes back over 40 years. He worked as a staff writer and research editor for Ramparts, an investigative reporting magazine published in San Francisco. Today he works as a full-time print and broadcast, freelance reporter. He reports regularly for National Public Radio, ABC (Australia),and Radio Deutsche Welle. His articles appear in Vice News and Foreign Policy.
