297 Main St
Northampton, MA 01060
This meeting will be a chance to connect, feel our unity, and get to know more about SURJ. You will learn the ways we are working as part of a multi-racial majority for justice, by supporting and collaborating with local and national racial justice organizing efforts, and providing a space to build relationships, learn skills and analyze politics to act for change.
Please come in through the back entrance on State Street- we will have signs pointing the way. See access notes about the space below. Snacks and childcare will be provided.
Here are the access notes: > Edwards Church is accessible to folks using mobility devices. We will post signs showing you which door to use and how to find us once you are inside the building.
Folding chairs are arranged in a circle for the meeting, and the room is spacious, with an area where children are invited to play supervised by a childcare provider.
The meeting is mostly spoken, and follows a posted agenda (see above), with a break after an hour. Breakout groups occur often, and it is possible for groups to relocate to the hall for a quieter environment. We don’t currently have microphones for space.
We request that people wear no scented products to make space more accessible to people with environmental illness.
